BargeTracker is a business intelligence tool that generates commercial insights for stakeholders in the marine fuels supply chain.
Our product uses AIS data and proprietary algorithms to generate a timeline of activities for each bunker barge operating at a port of interest. Based on the barge's position relative to client vessels and fuel storage terminals, we deduce transfer events and quantities.

Fernando Alvarez specializes in the formulation of mathematical models for the maritime transport sector. Fernando was an early contributor to SEA\LNG and BlockShipping/GSCP. He has previously worked as Senior Researcher at DNV-GL; Optimization Software Developer at ILOG (IBM); and Adjunct Professor of International Logistics at ESCI. Fernando holds a M.Sc. in Transportation Engineering from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Optimization of Maritime Operations from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
Christian specializes in modelling business problems mathematically and developing IT tools to improve decision making in the maritime transport segment. Christian has previously worked at Maersk Oil Trading and Maersk Line where he was Senior Specialist working on decision support systems for Bunker Purchasing, Schedule Network Design, Container Flow, and many other projects aimed at reducing cost. Christian holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Copenhagen and a Ph.D. from the Danish Technical University.
Nicholai has been responsible for the development and deployment of multiple consumer-facing web and mobile solutions in the e-commerce, digital media, and fintech space. His work has involved system design, as well as building and managing distributed development teams. Nicholai holds a M.Sc. in Production Management from the Technical University of Denmark, and has a keen interest in areas where process optimization and software development overlap.

Jochem has previously worked as a Business Analyst at Clipper Group, Business Application and Project Manager at Nordic Tankers, Optimization Analyst at Stolt-Nielsen and a Business Developer / Business Consultant at Ab Ovo. Jochem holds a M.Sc. in Innovation Management and Business Development from Copenhagen Business School and a post-graduate certificate in Operational Research from the University of Strathclyde.
